Our best forge for bladesmithing!  Compared to the forges on eBay/Amazon, it gets hotter, the insulation will last longer, it won’t rust, and it only uses $1 propane per hour!  Top that off with a swirling chamber, and we believe it’s the ultimate bladesmithing forge.  It’s so well engineered that multiple schools and even ABS Mastersmiths have been known to add them to their shops.

The Atlas forge uses Kastolite 50-25 Plus cast refractory, cured and baked for 6 hours at 450°F.  Ready to use right out of the box and it will last much longer than wool based forges.
May include a small bag of Plistix 900F refractory. This can be mixed and painted on the inside chamber to improve efficiency and toughness of the chamber. NOT REQUIRED FOR USE!!!

It’s more than hot enough to forge weld, but you need to use a fluxless method.  Borax will damage the refractory.

Includes:

    • Stainless steel forge w/ adjustable sliding tool rest
    • 0-20 PSI regulator w/hose connects to 20lb. propane tanks
    • Atlas stainless steel 30k BTU burner
    • 6 oz Plistix 900f (small bag of white powder)

Plistix 900f can be used to improve your forge chamber, but is not required.  To apply,

1. Spray the inside of your chamber with a mist of water
2. Mix Plistix 900f with a small amount of water (I use a small blender)
3. Coat the inside of your chamber (I use a spatula or brush)

Visit the Plibrico website for more information about Plistix 900f

Awesome little forge, my 2nd purchased forge I have 3 others I have made. It will more then reach a forge welding temp, i have melted part of a 12″ long double cut bastard file. Only thing is maybe adding a way to control air flow, some steel ends up with lots of scale more then some others

Adjusting the burner in/out of the port will change the amount of air. Very easy to adjust for oxidizing atmo for higher temps, or reducing for fluxless welding.

Fantastic little unit. Going from a cobbled together charcoal forge to this is all the difference.

I love the heat. It heats up fast. Heats up steel very fast. It’s the only forge I’ve owned but I’ve made a few blades with it already. It comes with the refractory cement already in it. Highly recommended if you need a first forge or a 2.5” wide forge that heats fast and can get to forging temperatures.

Grandson loves it. Just the right size for him to start making knives.

Great little forge. Just starting out and needed something that was quality built and even if I go bigger later would be useful and this fit the bill. Works great.

    Great propane forge
Easy setup, took minutes. Easily 8 or more hours from 20# propane. Well made. Did what I needed it for.

    Best little forge ever
This forge is an absolute must. You can not find a better knife forge for the money. This forge can forge weld cable on a 20 lb grill cylinder. Heat treats even as can be. As well as light and very portable.

    Great little forge!
This is my first forge and really exceeded my expectations. It lights easily, uses very little propane, and heats knife blades to red hot quickly. I’m amazed at how fast it can reheat a blade while shaping it. I like the swirl burner design, which heats the blades evenly.

    Powerful
This thing is a little beast. Didn’t expect to see the huge difference between my cobbled together coal setup and this.

    Perfect all around!
We purchased this after a lot of debate with other ones, we received it quickly and in good shape. There was supposed to have been plistix that came with it and we didn’t get it. My husband reach out to the company, they responded within minutes asking for the address to send it and we received it in 2 days. Awesome product and awesome customer satisfaction from the company. All around 5 ⭐! Thank you. Husband says it’s the best forge on the market.

So far I’m really impressed this is my first forge. Solid construction, it didn’t come with any paperwork at all. My burner does seem to backfire up the burner tube til the nozzle, very well could be user error it is outside inside an old grill. I would definitely recommend so far tho.
